Emergency Communications Workshop

Two meetings of this Workshop were convened. The first meeting was held jointly with the ANSI-HSSP workshop on Citizen Readiness on December 1-2, 2004 in Schaumburg, IL.  The second meeting was convened on December 14-15, 2005 in Gaithersburg, MD.

This Workshop examined standards and conformity assessment needs in the following areas:  individual/organization-to-individual/organization, individual/organization-to-government and government-to-individual/organization. Government-to-government emergency communications was not addressed during this Workshop series.
